Blue Belt!

Jordan tested for his Blue Belt in tae kwon do the middle of November. He not only passed, he received a trophy for straight A's on his report card!

Breaking a 1 inch board with his foot. He also broke one with his hand but I wasn't ready for that one and missed the pic :(Receiving his trophy for straight A'sReceiving his Blue Belt from Mr. Lund. At the end of the testing Grand Master Ro signs the kids belts and writes their name on them in Korean as well.

Halloween 2008

Well Halloween went off without a hitch! Alex started out the day as Buzz Lightyear and ended the night as Tuck the Turtle from Wonderpets. Jordan was a crusade knight and enjoyed his evening with friends.

Espera!! Espera!!

Alex was spinning on the tire swing and saying "Espera". I think he thought it meant "Help Me" but my sister tells me that it means "I wish". Oh well, he is only 2 still so I can't expect him to be totally fluent in a second language before he is fluent in his first!

Alex, Kendra and I like to go to the park every day before nap time. I am trying to get in a few extra minutes before the snow flies! Before we leave the park by the lake the kids like to lay down to look for the fish...we haven't found any yet but the remain undeterred.

Fall in MN

Fall has come and the leaves are beautiful. It was perfect weather this weekend for playing outside and cleaning up the yards. The rain last night made the leaves fall faster but it is still pretty!

Conversation at Bed Time

I was getting Alex ready for bed last night and this is how the conversation went:
Alex: "Mom, you give me that ladder?"
Mom: "Sure, but you have to lay still."
Alex: "Firemans use that ladder to rescue babies."
Mom: "Really, rescue babies?"
Alex: "Yep babies that climb up to the top of the water tower. Then they climb back down with them. ...That's AMAZING!"

This is how we spent most of our weekends this summer. Chad and I jackhammered out the front step on Memorial Day weekend and Chad put the final touches on the actual steps last weekend. I don't know who is happier, me when I can actually step out on the deck to get the mail, or the mailman when he doesn't have to walk thru the wood maze to drop the mail off!

First day of School 2008

Jordan has been in school for 2 weeks now and I still can't believe this is his last year at St. Philip's or that he is a 5th grader!

A friend of the family offered his cabin in July so we took him up on the offer. We had a great 4 days of sun and sand!

Alex has been watching Max and Ruby on Noggin and took a page from their book when he was playing with the chalk today.

Happy 4th!

We celebrated the 4th at Mom's house with a 1st Birthday party for Evie. The Grabow clan joined in the fun too so it was a great day. We painted Jordan's mohawk for the occasion.

I'm Back!!!

Well, it has been a while but I have finally got my computer back up and running and have pictures to post. My computer crashed in April and I was able to recover most of my pictures but want to tell you all to back up your pictures!!! Anyway, here are some pics from our fun in June.
