Fall in MN

Fall has come and the leaves are beautiful. It was perfect weather this weekend for playing outside and cleaning up the yards. The rain last night made the leaves fall faster but it is still pretty!

Conversation at Bed Time

I was getting Alex ready for bed last night and this is how the conversation went:
Alex: "Mom, you give me that ladder?"
Mom: "Sure, but you have to lay still."
Alex: "Firemans use that ladder to rescue babies."
Mom: "Really, rescue babies?"
Alex: "Yep babies that climb up to the top of the water tower. Then they climb back down with them. ...That's AMAZING!"

This is how we spent most of our weekends this summer. Chad and I jackhammered out the front step on Memorial Day weekend and Chad put the final touches on the actual steps last weekend. I don't know who is happier, me when I can actually step out on the deck to get the mail, or the mailman when he doesn't have to walk thru the wood maze to drop the mail off!

First day of School 2008

Jordan has been in school for 2 weeks now and I still can't believe this is his last year at St. Philip's or that he is a 5th grader!

A friend of the family offered his cabin in July so we took him up on the offer. We had a great 4 days of sun and sand!
